Saxophone instruction.
Gerard Spicer performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Canada and the United States. He was the winner of the 2014 University of Florida Concerto Competition, performing the Tomasi Concerto, with the University of Florida Symphony Orchestra. In Fall 2018, he will teach the saxophone studio at the University of Florida (sabbatical replacement).
Recently, Gerard has performed with The Gainesville Orchestra, Imperial Symphony Orchestra, and in musicals produced by the Ocala Civic Theater and Santa Fe College. Additionally, he presents regular performances at the Southeastern Saxophone Summit, and at North American Saxophone Alliance conferences.
Gerard holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Florida, where he studied with Dr. Jonathan Helton. He also holds an Artist Diploma, and Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Ontario. He maintains a private studio in Gainesville, Florida, with students from across Central Florida.
